PASS THE SAGE
MY STORY
As an Indigenous woman, I have always embraced the roles of healer and nurturer. As the eldest of nine children, I naturally took on responsibilities that shaped my nurturing spirit, and today, I am a proud mother of a beautiful son. Growing up below the poverty line, I experienced numerous challenges—ranging from sexual abuse, racism, and discrimination to witnessing substance abuse and facing domestic violence. These hardships deeply affected me, and having felt isolated and self blame in my journey through trauma, the experiences inspired the creation of this book.
My mission is to cultivate a safe, supportive space for our community to heal and feel heard. I firmly believe that by sharing our stories and expressing our struggles in healthy, constructive ways, we can affirm that we are resilient and not alone in our experiences. Through this collective storytelling, we empower one another and reclaim our strength, passing down the wisdom that helps us heal and move forward together.
